1,000 Books Before Kindergarten |
Newton County Public Library has partnered with 1000 Books Foundation to offer 1000 Books before Kindergarten (1000BooksB4K) for children in our communities. The objectives of 1000 Books Foundation are simple – promote reading to newborns, infants and toddlers, and encourage parent and child bonding through reading.
Lake Village, Morocco and Roselawn Libraries have information sheets, log sheets & bookmarks for parents interested in the program.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a 60-volume set of books beginning with the children’s classic The Little Engine That Could. Growing Together: A Parenting Class is aimed to provide effective, positive, and realistic education to all parents in our community. We welcome biological parents, foster parents, grandparents, and any adult raising children. In addition to the class structure, we work as a support group for parents to lift each other up and provide guidance.
