About this event


As DAFs become more popular among donors, it is crucial for non-profits to understand them in order to maximize their effectiveness in securing donations. In this workshop, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of DAFs and learn strategies to effectively tap into their philanthropic potential.


About the speaker


Geoff Green currently serves as the CEO of the California Association of Nonprofits (CalNonprofits). He previously served as CEO of the Santa Barbara City College Foundation. With more than 25 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, he has worked on a wide variety of issues, including affordable housing, access to education, racial equity, and environmental protection. He has served on a diverse array of local, state, and national nonprofit boards in addition to both elected and appointed public office. A dedicated champion of the nonprofit sector, his prior roles include campaign organizer, public affairs radio host, and national park ranger.

Our Keynote Speaker

Cherian Koshy is a recognized leader in the nonprofit sector, known for his innovative approaches to fundraising, strategic planning, and nonprofit leadership. With nearly three decades of experience, Cherian has dedicated his career to helping organizations navigate the complexities of growth and change.


Throughout his career, Cherian has served in senior leadership roles at various institutions, where he has been instrumental in raising more than $200 million. His work extends beyond fundraising; he is deeply involved in coaching and mentoring the next generation of nonprofit leaders.


Currently, Cherian serves as the Vice Chair of Professional Development on the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Global Board and is the past chair of Volunteer Iowa. His thought leadership has been featured in numerous publications, including Advancing Philanthropy and The Chronicle of Philanthropy, and he is a sought-after speaker at conferences and workshops worldwide.
