In her Easter message to the church, Bishop Eaton focuses on three words that describe what the women at tomb experienced when the angel announced that Jesus had been raised from the dead: fear, amazement and being seized or possessed.

“These three words really say something about the women, and I think about us and, most especially, about Easter…I think it's very important to take time to be a little amazed, to be standing in a different place, to have a sense of this awe and trembling before the Lord, and to allow ourselves to be possessed by the Spirit, who will give us power and courage in these times.”

Cinnamon Rolls will be served in the fellowship hall beginning at 8:15 am Easter morning until 10:45 am. Proceeds go towards children’s ministries.

EASTER ALTAR FLOWERS UPDATE!!! You may still purchase one of the Easter Flowers on the Altar in honor of or memory of loved ones! Label it as such and put it in the offering plate or deliver it to the office. You may take them home if you wish, any time after Easter Sunday. Please note: If you ordered an Asiatic Lily, the greenhouse was unable to get them this year due to a crop failure, they have been replaced with Calla Lily or Cyclamen.

2024 SPRING PLANT SALE! Order forms are out for the Spring Plant Sale – Children, Youth and Family Fundraiser. Find the forms in the church entry, the office or on the tables in the Fellowship Hall. Orders are due by March 31 and arrive on May 9. Contact Stacy or the office for more information!

As the abundance of food donations from the holidays dwindle the need for food assistance in our communities continues. In response to that need children and adults from Chisago Lake Lutheran Church in Center City partnered with the local Family Pathways Food Shelf, Brink's Market in Chisago City, and Nick & Drew's Discount Foods in Lindstrom this past Saturday to conduct a local food drive. As you can see from the pictures here, the response from our communities was overwhelmingly generous resulting in hundreds of dollars in cash donations and nearly 1900 lbs of non-perishable food items that will greatly bless and assist our food insecure neighbors in need.

Join Pastor Brian For Our New Adult Forum Series After Easter

Following an immersive journey through the history, geography, and accounts of Jesus through the Gospels, join Pastor Brian and others as we now explore what happened next and investigate the lives of the very first Christians. Beginning in Jerusalem and using the Book of Acts as our roadmap, we will travel the Mediterranean region to share the people, places and events that launched the Christian faith, including the missionary journeys of Paul and the apocalyptic visions and writings of John of Patmos found in the Book of Revelation. Join us in the Green Room most Sundays following worship this Spring and Summer!

Blood Pressure Checks will be available to anyone interested following service on Sunday, April 7. Thank you to Megan Enebak-Porter. Megan is a member of CLLC and an RN who is volunteering this service on an ongoing regular basis!
Midwife Kit Assembly! April 8 at 9am. Everyone is invited to come help assemble the Midwife Kits. There is a need not only for assembly but also some people able to load and stack boxes.
CPR/AED Training will be offered once again here at Chisago Lake Lutheran. Training will take place on April 29 from 6:30 to 8:00pm in the Green Room.
