Cathedral Singers to Go to
Ireland in 2025
The Cathedral Singers have been invited to participate in a choral festival in Dublin, Ireland June 17-22, 2025! They would love to have you join them as a “groupie” or a singer if so desired.
As a groupie, you would have more time to explore Dublin while the singers are in rehearsal, and just join them for the prearranged tours in Dublin.
Since we would make our own air arrangements, some may prefer to leave Indianapolis early to explore London or Edinburgh and then join the singers in Dublin on June 18, or fly with everyone on June 17 but then extend your stay in Ireland or the British Isles. You have options!
If you are interested in going on this trip please email Mark Gilgallon as soon as possible. You are welcome to bring a friend too – they don’t have to be affiliated with North.

North Church will host a Good Friday service at noon this Friday in the chapel that will feature intercessory prayers for the community. At 7:30 p.m. that evening join the Cathedral Singers and organist Dr. Heather Hinton in the sanctuary for Théodore Dubois' musical setting of the "Seven Last Words of Christ."
Our Easter Sunday services will be held at 8:30 and 11 a.m. this Sunday in the sanctuary. Join us to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ with a joyful and festive worship experience. This Sunday will be the culmination of our Lenten series as we celebrate "Jesus the Victor." At 11 a.m. the Carolers and the Cathedral Singers will share special music.

Mission and Outreach
Volunteers Are Needed to Provide Meals in April
North UMC has supported Family Promise (formerly known as Interfaith Hospitality Network) for well over 20 years. It is a network that provides temporary shelter, meals, and guidance for homeless families.
Since COVID, churches no longer provide space in their buildings for temporary housing, but they do continue to provide family meals.
Our mission and outreach team has agreed to supply meals during the month of April on Thursdays for individual families. We need volunteers to make and deliver a meal to support a family during this challenging time in their lives. Please contact Mary Jo Stinnette at (317) 442-5277 or by email to sign up. She will provide all the information you require!

Zoom Book Study Is Slated for April 16

Barnett is an award-wining attorney dedicated to transforming the criminal justice system. Her book was a "Los Angeles Times" book prize finalist and an NAACP image award nominee. "The Washington Post" said it was a “powerful and devastating call to free those buried alive by America’s legal system, and an inspiring true story about unwavering belief in humanity..."
The book can be purchased at many different retail outlets and may also be available at local libraries. North members are encouraged to get a copy and read it prior to the Zoom event.
Details on how to join the Zoom event will be announced later.

Green Hint: Nix Bottled Water!
Nix bottled water! There is carbon embedded in bottled water from the plastic used to make the bottle to the trucks that transport it. Use a refillable water bottle instead. North has a bottle filler in the hall.
