Compass Re-launches Second Chance

Back by popular demand, Compass of Carolina re-launched their Second Chance program with the first class which took place on March 5th. Prior to the re-launch Compass was honored to meet with the Greenville Association of School Resource Officers. We thank Hardee's (on Rutherford Rd) for providing breakfast and Liquid Highway for providing coffee at this meeting.

Second Chance is a 10-week program for parents and their child to attend together in order to help reduce high rates of truency and stop explusion. Included with the weekly meeting is the opportunity for parent and child to eat a meal together focused on communication and quality time. We want to thank Project Host for donating the meal for the re-launch of this program.

Focusing on understanding the problem from both the parent and child perspective, then working on ways to communicate better, solve problems and make better decision, this program comes full circle to the need for goals and accountablity.

The program includes child-care for siblings during the weekly workshops, if arranged ahead of time. Would you or someone you know benefit from this program? Fill out the referral form on our website and get started today!!
