March is Women's History Month. Women’s History Month is a celebration of women’s contributions to history, culture and society and has been observed annually in the month of March in the United States since 1987.
Coincidentally, March 14, 2023 is Equal Pay Day, which marks how far into this year a woman in the U.S. would need to work, on average, to catch up to a man’s pay from 2022. This year, Black Women’s Equal Pay Day is on July 27. Latina’s Equal Pay Day is on October 5. And Native Women's Equal Pay Day is on November 30.
As an organization that helps people meet their basic needs, pay equity is important.
