FEBRUARY RESULTS

You voted. We listened.

We are reexamining our venue locations prioritizing rooftop bars, trendy lounges, local watering holes and coworking spaces. The Active Listening Workshop tonight is being held in the Chief coworking space and the March Chapter meeting was moved from the 15th to the 21st to procure a venue that is a coworking space for a startup. Our programming will be held in the Tuesday to Thursday time frame requested and we will continue with our evening programming. We had considered bringing back the breakfast roundtable but with these results, we decided against it.

INTRODUCING

PRESIDENT'S CORNER

Kim Beynon

PMINYC President and Executive Coach

To our PMINYC Community,

Thank you for your increased engagement with our community! We have been encouraged to see an uptick in registrations for training and events with our first sold out event of the year taking place later today. We look forward to continuing this upward trend! This month we talk about how we are making it easier for you to engage with us by achieving operational excellence.

2023 Chapter Focus

As you will recall from last month the 2023 focus for the Chapter falls into four categories:

  1. Enhancing Communications
  2. Building Community
  3. Overhauling Governance
  4. Achieving Operational Excellence

Today I want to spend some time on achieving operational excellence and how that benefits you.

Achieving Operational Excellence

Your Request

In a survey conducted last autumn, we asked you to name one thing that would add more value to your PMINYC membership. As you would expect, we had a wide array of responses, but we did note that volunteers wanted better tools to help them in their daily activities.

Our Response

We listened. The Board approved the 2023 annual budget which included an investment in infrastructure and new tools.

  • For example, as we have gone through the annual Confidentiality & Conflict of Interest renewal this year, some volunteers have had to complete the form more than once because the tool we are using does not have the capability to be edited – we are planning to replace that tool with a new one that has editing capabilities.
  • We have streamlined surveys to the data analytics team using KwikSurvey and many other integrations and tools are being reviewed and implemented all to make it easier for volunteers and members.

Our focus in this area aligns with PMI Global’s new values, one of which is to “Make it Easy”.

I am listening.

Until next month…

Kind regards,

Kim
