Would you like to learn how to express your commitment to the goals of The Arc of Fort Bend County? You could do this through a planned gift. Once you have provided for loved ones in your will, you may want to include a gift of money, stock or property to The Arc. Your gift will be a lasting tribute to your concern for the advocacy, services and programs The Arc provides, while guaranteeing our long-term future.

Did you know that annually, individuals 70.5 and older can transfer up to $100,000 as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from their traditional IRA* to a qualified charity such as The Arc of Fort Bend County?

Celebrating Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month

We Work We Leaarn.png

The Arc of Fort Bend County works year-round to promote and protect the rights of people with IDD to live, learn, work and play as valued and contributing members of Fort Bend County. Although March may be developmental disabilities awareness month, we challenge Fort Bend County to include and celebrate the abilities of people with IDD year-round.

Socials are back red.JPG

March 4th 2022 marked the in-person return of two beloved programs at The Arc of Fort Bend County -  Teen/Tween Social  & Parent Night Out and the TwentySomethings Group! A fun-packed joint event was held at the Family Life Center of Christ Church Sugar Land with 50 Teens, TwentySomethings, volunteers and staff who enjoyed a night full of food and fun!

After mixing and mingling in their separate social groups, the Teens and TwentySomethings came together at 7pm for music and movement activities led by Courtney Kalaher with Out Loud Dance. Since several teens turned 19 and 20 during the pandemic, the joint event allowed new members of the TwentySomethings to meet their new group in a familiar environment. Everyone had a great time getting to know each other as they wiggled and giggled their way across the gym!
