Hello!
March was all about connecting with our PILI community! We began our anniversary celebrations with a 45th Anniversary Kickoff Reception and prepared for the upcoming in-person Arcade for Legal Aid fundraiser on April 6th. We also announced numerous virtual and in-person programs and talked to a few of our supporters about Women’s History Month. We are looking forward to connecting with PILI volunteers, Alumni and donors over the next few months while celebrating PILI’s 45 Years of Impact

Whether it’s through a financial contribution, pro bono service, or attending an upcoming event, we hope you join us in promoting equal access to justice in Illinois. We owe our momentum to the dedicated supporters and legal professionals that have Taken the Initiative to move PILI’s mission forward. We couldn’t do it without you!

  • PILI needs volunteers in the Third, Sixth & Tenth Judicial Circuits. We are spotlighting a few of these opportunities for which we are actively seeking pro bono volunteers at this time. Read more about them on our website.
Happy Women's History Month!

In March, PILI connected with three champions of PILI for their reflections on Women’s History Month. We are honored to spotlight Lee Ann Russo, Kyle Petersen and Davina DiPaolo.
This spotlight focuses on in intersection of women's history, the legal profession, and public interest law.

"I hope that one day, Women’s History Month will no longer serve to teach people about women’s accomplishments, but rather, serve as a reminder of these accomplishments." Davina said.
