MILTON FARMERS' MARKET IS READY FOR 2021

Outdoor farmers’ market season is upon us in Ontario, with many markets working hard to continue their essential role in safely supplying communities with farm-fresh food.

The Milton Farmers’ Market, operated by the Milton Chamber of Commerce, was one of many markets that went through some big changes last year to continue to operate safely. Last spring, they moved from their downtown Main Street location to Country Heritage Park, and then to the Milton Fairgrounds, where they'll be for the 2021 season.

The Golden Horseshoe Food and Farming Alliance is hosting a webinar on navigating the complexity of land-use planning for licensed cannabis production in Ontario on Tuesday, April 20.

Virtual Farm Tours

Durham Region farmers will be offering behind-the-scenes virtual farm tours throughout 2021 on the Durham Farm Connections Facebook page!

Each tour will be hosted by a farmer and will share a beyond-the-farm-gate view of many different types of farms, including: beef cattle, maple syrup, egg, greenhouse, field crop, dairy, apple orchard, sheep, peas & strawberries, hay, herb (specialty tea), wheat, apple cider, field vegetable & fruit, and a flower farm.
