On behalf of Tiverton Public Library and our consultants from Empower Success Corps, we would like to extend a very big THANK YOU to everyone who participated in our strategic plan survey. You have given us some wonderful ideas and thoughts on how the library is doing and what we can do in the future. We are looking forward to completing our next 5-year strategic plan and will post it on our website when it has been completed.
We will not be hosting focus groups during this process. However, if Tiverton teens are looking for volunteer hours, they can contact the library. If you have any other suggestions or questions, please forward them to Library Director Catherine Damiani via director@tivertonlibrary.org. Thank you again!

Get FREE Admission to the RISD Museum | |
The RISD Museum has a new exhibit, which just opened February 17th, called Nancy Elizabeth Prophet: I Will Not Bend an Inch.
Best known for her figurative sculptures carved in wood and stone, Nancy Elizabeth Prophet was born in 1890 to parents of Narragansett and African American heritage. She became RISD’s first documented graduate of color, completing her degree in 1918. In 1922, she relocated to Paris. During her 12 years there, Prophet created and exhibited sculptures, gaining critical recognition but also struggling with poverty. In 1934 she moved to Atlanta to co-found the art program at Spelman College, returning to Rhode Island in 1944 to pursue her own art. She remained here until her death in 1960.
The library’s museum pass admits two adults to the museum for FREE. All children 18 and under are free. (Sundays are already free, courtesy of the RISD Museum).
