Hello Marblehead Community Charter Families,
Welcome to September and welcome back to school. Our first week back feels so good here at MCCPS. Our teachers have done such an outstanding job creating a safe, fun, learning environment for our students. This week was all about team building and making connections. It is so important to us that all students feel they know and trust the adults in the school. At the core of our work are relationships. Our expectation is that you will hear regularly from us and we want to hear from you.
It was so nice to have many parents join our morning meeting on the first day of school. Please know that parents are always welcome to join us at the Community Meeting in the morning from 7:45-8:00am or at lunch from 12:00-12:30pm. You do not need to provide us with advanced notice if you will be joining us unless you plan to purchase a lunch. Please check in at the front office for a visitor's badge and be prepared to be introduced by your student.
We still really need parents to join a committee. Joining a committee is a very small time commitment. Most committees only meet once per month for about an hour or up to ninety minutes. Please consider helping us out by joining a committee in September.
Thank you so much for those of you who have already made your contribution to the Student Success Fund. For just $1 per school day ($180 total) your contribution helps support classroom technology, our enrichment program, and so much more.

We really need parents and community members to teach Enrichment courses this year. If you or someone you know would like to teach a course for Enrichment one day per week on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays from 2:30-3:45pm, please contact our Dean of Students, Stephanie Brant. You must commit to a full trimester and be available each week when your course meets. We will assign a member of our team to also be in the room with you to assist with managing and supervising students. Enrichment courses in the past have included: chess, crochet, ultimate frisbee, minecraft, dance, cheerleading, sewing, knitting, yoga, intro to finance, creative writing, scrapbooking, landscape design, jewelry making, and so much more.
Please read below for an update on the social-emotional learning curriculum that we will be implementing this year.
Please also see below for an update from the PTO.
Enjoy the extra long weekend.
