CELEBRATE THE VICTORY
Thursday, June 10, 2021
The Christian life can sometimes seem like a war. We face an enemy from within and without. The enemy within is the flesh waring against the Spirit of God who resides in us if we are Christians. The enemy without is the principalities and rulers of the air that try to get us to believe in their lies instead of his truth. Even though we may not want to participate in this war, we must realize that some wars need to be fought.

How are we to fight these battles? First, we must understand that God wants us to engage the enemy. There are times when God says, “Charge!” and we must obey this command.

Second, we must understand that the battles are the Lord’s. If God tells us to charge, then he will give us the victory. We need to hold fast to this truth. The enemy would love to have us think that victory is about how well we fight. It is not. It is all about how big our God is. Our courage is dependent on him. So, fight on in the name of Jesus.

Third, we need someone who will remind us of these truths. We need a town crier shouting out how big and wonderful is our God. We need someone who can look at the enemy and remind us that enemy is small in comparison to God. Nothing is impossible for him.

Fourth, rejoice in the victory that the Lord will give us. Celebrate because the Lord is good and will give us the victory. Don’t ever forget this part. Memorialize his victories in you. It is easy to forget and despair when the next battle comes. So, rejoice and celebrate because he had and will give you the victory.
