A MESSAGE TO SHARE
Monday, June 17, 2019
As I write this, the news is reporting about the death of a 6-year-old boy, the new Supreme Court justice nominee is being attacked and our world is desperately trying to figure out what is right and what is wrong. People are lost. People are feeling defenseless and weak against the evil that is penetrating our society. I don’t blame them. It makes my heart break to think of the loss and fear within nonbelievers’ hearts. Sometimes I feel compelled to shout out in the midst of people that they need only to turn to Jesus.

God has shown over and over again to all generations that he is powerful and in total control over this world. Here in Joshua 3–4, Scripture is reminding us again the faithfulness of God to his people. The Word tells us to continually share God’s greatness with our children and teach them the ways of God.

I want to share what God has done in my life to those I love, especially my grandsons so that they will always know that their Gramma K loved Jesus and trusted in his power. I want them to be able to feel secure in the knowledge that Jesus loves them and that through him, they can claim the promises that Jesus has given to believers throughout his Word.

Trusting in God’s power over the evils in this world is not easy when it seems that evil is sweeping over our society at will. Just as Joshua reminds the people entering the Promised Land that God has shown his mighty power, let us be reminded that we serve the very same God and he will show his power over the evil in this world. Continue in your faith!

“For the LORD your God dried up the Jordan before you until you had crossed over. The LORD your God did to the Jordan what he had done to the Red Sea when he dried it up before us until we had crossed over. He did this so that all the peoples of the earth might know that the hand of the LORD is powerful and so that you might always fear the LORD your God.”
