Oracle Hiring Manager Mandatory Training

You have been approved as an Oracle Hiring Manager by ELT. Thank you in advance for helping SPS acquire the best possible talent to support our mission and community.


Beginning February 26, 2024, all recruiting and candidate management for the district will be conducted in Oracle. In order to best prepare all hiring managers for this transition of systems, Human Resources will partner with Information Technology to conduct a two-hour mandatory virtual training.


The virtual training will cover the basic navigation of the new module including how to execute the following hiring processes:


  • Enter new job requisitions.
  • Manage candidates through the candidate selection process.
  • Review applicants and schedule interviews.
  • Conduct reference checks.
  • Recommend a candidate for hire. 


Due to limited class size of 30 participants per session, please reserve your Oracle class time through KickUp as soon as possible. Once logged in to KickUp, search “Oracle” to find the sessions. You will have the option to join a waitlist for desired session times already at full capacity.

 

Please plan to attend one of the training sessions shown below prior to processing any requisitions or applications in Oracle.

  • February 15, 2024 - 1-3 p.m.
  • February 20, 2024 - 8-10 a.m.
  • February 23. 2024 - 11a.m.-1p.m.
  • February 28, 2024 - 9-11 a.m.
  • February 29, 2024 - 2-4 p.m.
  • March 1, 2024 - 8-10 a.m.
  • March 6, 2024 - 1-3 p.m.
  • March 8, 2024 - 10 a.m.-12 p.m.

In an effort to reduce the number of systems supporting human resources, finance, and purchasing services, the district is implementing Oracle Cloud Fusion to provide a range of services and applications for various business areas.


The financial module went LIVE in July 2023, which included purchasing, budgeting, and accounting. The human resources and payroll modules are going LIVE March 1, 2024.
