Thank You

For an awesome year!

You did it!

Almost 100 kids attended the Grace of Calvary Church Christmas party! There were crafts, cookie decorating, songs, piñatas and the story of Jesus Christ the Messiah prophesied by Simon in Luke 2. Every child received a gift and so much LOVE!!!

THE PHOTOS ARE WORTH 1,000 WORDS!!

I LOVE THESE KIDS! CLICK BELOW!

The GDC School of Ministry students finished their first semester by giving a Bible exposition in front of their peers. For some this is a real challenge to speak/teach in front of others. Great job folks!

The students will return in January after Pastor Daniel & his family get a much needed week long vacation in Ensenada.

I received 400 Hygiene Kits and almost as many jackets and sweaters from a homeless ministry that shut down. We are distributing them to people in our ministry, drug rehabs, prison and other ministries. Some will even go as far as San Quintin, five hours south of the border to the migrant workers. What a blessing!

We sold 28 macrame air plant holders made by the Grace of Calvary church ladies for the NCCC Missions Market. The proceeds of $435 are going to the Women's Ministry for future arts & crafts. Javier & Elaine were awesome at selling and talking to people about the ministry.

Mi Escueltia tutoring clubs continue to be a great outreach and asset to the community. 40 kids are studying every week and advancing in their skills. Many of these kids do not attend school and this is the only education they are receiving. Our tutors are mainly our high school students from the church.

Jose Luis and the Set Free International Team had a great trip visiting the prisons in El Salvador. The teenage prisons especially touched Jose Luis as the youth were hungry to receive Jesus and the hope that He brings. JL continues to serve at the La Mesa prison in Tijuana weekly.

The CSU Long Beach Flying Samaritans are so great with our Fuentes community monthly medical clinic. They also bring medicine, clothing donations and hearts to serve. That is a long day trip from Long Beach!

Thanksgiving Dinneer was a big hit at the church with everyone helping and eating! The fellowship, Word of God and Bible teaching have made Gracia del Calvario a lighthouse in the area. Pastor Daniel, Luz and their daughters pour their hearts and lives into this ministry daily.

This ministry would not be possible without the amazing donors that God provides. The church is open 7 days a week and our Fuentes location is open 5 days a week. 100's of people per week receive services from this ministry and lives are continually being changed. 5 new families have been added to the congregation. 12 people accepted Jesus as their Savior and 8 were baptized. The School of Ministry has 18 serious students.

There are waiting lists for the tutoring program. 30 kids receive a hot lunch daily. 85 kids received gifts for Christmas plus 25 youth. The GDC Christmas party is December 16th and we have so many donations that I have brought down to the church that almost everyone will receive a small gift.

2 Thessalonians 1:3 "Dear brothers and sisters, we can’t help but thank God for you, because your faith is flourishing and your love for one another is growing."

THANK YOU FOR GIVING! THANK YOU FOR PRAYING! THANK YOU FOR ENCOURAGING ALL OF US WHO SERVE.

WE ARE BLESSED AND THANK GOD FOR YOU!!

FELIZ NAVIDAD 2023

PESINA FAMILY UPDATE: Javier is attending university at Grossmont College in La Mesa and working at Dick's Sporting Goods. He also helps with the ministry in his "spare" time. Jose Luis is working night shift at Walmart and doing prison ministry. I, Cindy, am serving daily in the ministry with 1 or 2 trips per week to Mexico. I am also working part-time at Walmart as an "internet shopper" for the holidays meaning that I go around with a cart and find all the items that people order on the internet. Since the photo above was taken, I have lost 38 pounds, exercise regulary and average 11,000 steps per day. I praise God for our health and the ability to be "tent makers" by serving in ministry and working.

Phil. 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
