Cares Center. To kickstart the month we are delighted to be partnering with our

friends of the Staten Island Non-Profit Association in our Managing

Managers Stress and Developing a Worker Resiliency Program. In a similar spirit,

we invite you to participate in our Managing Managers Stress – Training for

further on in this newsletter! We are also delighted to continue our Emotional

Resiliency and Helping Others for Workers Program with LACA Bronx. May will be filled with a myriad of empowering events, training sessions, and

initiatives aimed at fostering resilience and community support. Join us as we

This critically important program Free program consists of two training tracks, one for workers and one for managers.


The worker track offers a one-hour Emotional Resiliency and Suicide Prevent Training and a 3 hour Helping Others module.


The managers track offers one hour Managing Managers Stress followed by a four-hour Developing a Resiliency Program module.

The Collaborative Disaster Volunteer Credential for Managers


World Cares Center and The Peoples Police Academy partnered to educate and support community leaders on creating disaster response plans and leading volunteers with their communities and organizations. We want to extend our gratitude to Rutgers University and Atlantic COHST for being valued donors to this program. We are so excited to continue our partnership and to keep communities safe and resilient!

Emotional Resiliency and Suicide Prevention and Helping Others Through Difficult Times, Training for Workers



As part of our Resilient Worker Initiative, we led a training with members of the Bronx's Power of Faith Tabernacle, The HOPE Program and a virtual training with members of our greater World Cares Center community. They received tools on how to identify and mitigate their stress within themselves and within their communities. 

Lithium Battery Safety for Citizens and Ready Responders


World Cares Center hosted a virtual roundtable training educating ready responders on the dangers of lithium-ion batteries and how to properly stay safe in their presence. Thank you to ConEdsion for sponsoring this training and thank you to our participants!
