Avalon Replacing and Repairing Bulkheads
|
|
The Borough of Avalon will be replacing two complete bulkheads, and fixing a small section of a third bulkhead during the months of March-April.
Channel Marine will be replacing the bulkheads at 22nd and 26th Streets. A small section of the bulkhead located at 80th Street will be repaired.
Below, please find an estimated construction schedule.
22nd Street Bulkhead work to begin on 3/10/21 with an estimated completion date of 3/24/21
26th Street Bulkhead work to begin on 3/31/21 with an estimated completion date of 4/21/21
80th Street Bulkhead work to begin on 4/22/2 with an estimated completion date of 4/28/21

No Tax Rate Increases in Avalon for 2021
|
|
The Avalon Borough Council introduced a new $32.8 million budget that results in a zero tax increase for the third consecutive year. The budget maintains the municipal tax rate at 19.9 cents. Avalon holds one of the lowest tax rates in the State of New Jersey. This budget also meets the Borough’s prior pledge and obligation for the elimination of all long - term general debt service. Avalon will also not have an increase in the costs for seasonal beach tags for the third consecutive year. The water and sewer budget also includes no increase in rates.

Sunday Concerts at Surfside in Avalon
|
|
The Avalon Department of Recreation has announced the “Sundays at Surfside” concert schedule for the Summer of 2021. Concerts will be held Sundays in the Summer starting at 7:00pm. The concerts will be held at Avalon’s Surfside Park located at 30th Street and the beach. All concerts are free to the public!
Just bring your beach chair or blanket and enjoy the show!
The Borough of Avalon will require compliance with all related Covid-19 protocols that are in place at the time of these concerts.
