Why HomeAid Care Days?
HomeAid Care Days provide free-of-charge maintenance and repairs for nonprofits providing housing and services for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. These savings can be used to directly help families and individuals who come to these nonprofits for help and hope, like Renee. She came to Crossroads Community Ministries suffering from abuse and alcohol addiction. The Crossroads staff were able to direct her to a treatment facility, help her establish housing, find employment, and reconnect with her children. Renee's long term goal is to go back to school to become a social worker to help others like herself. "Someone poured into me while I was in need," said Renee. "How could I do anything but pour into others?"
