About Jake and Jake
Although Jake literally couldn't sing (or talk), as a result of a brain tumor diagnosed at 3 months, he would have loved to come to Making Headway’s Karaoke event that is in his co-memory. Jake’s continuing legacy is Making Headway, even though it was another aggressive cancer that took his life in August of 2020.
This event is co-organized with Andy’s family and friends to honor his brave fight against brain cancer, which he sadly lost in July of 2015. But more broadly, this event is about recognizing Andy’s legacy as a passionate Michigan fan, GO BLUE, mathematical genius, hardworking employee of Macquarie Capital, winner of every board game ever played, welcoming and loyal friend, loving big brother, amazing son and all-around remarkable man.
