This year's theme is empathy encouraging communities, schools, and workplaces to #GetReal about how to help. Thanks to you and our growing network of supporters, we promote mental well-being in youth by nurturing their resilience making every week #MentalHealthWeek.

In this issue we invite your to our 18th Annual Breakfast for Champions, share our strong community impact so far, and highlight our contribution to the Globe and Mail’s first-ever Psychology Matters section.

18th Annual Breakfast for Champions
“Don’t just fly, soar": These trying times has forced us to adapt and persevere. At this year’s Breakfast for Champions, please join us on a journey of optimism and hope. After two years as a virtual event, we are excited to see you in-person again. We will include a virtual option as well.

Starting year off with strong community impact!
Over 100K children benefitting from our
stress management programs
Since January 2022 so far we have impacted 106,145 children and youth with our programs Kids Have Stress Too! and Stress Lessons. Thanks to our vast network of child-caring partners, children are learning key coping skills that will last a lifetime. We are grateful for the continued partnership with the Ministry of Education in Saskatchewan and with School Mental Health Ontario.
Children embracing our new resource and programs
  • 1,711 children have learned about stress through our Stress Busters Activity books.
  • 38 children have attended our intensive 8-week Stress Busters After-School Program through Toronto Catholic District School Board, Wellington Catholic District School Board and Upper Grand District School Board.
Learning more about how to support teen's mental health

Thanks to support of RBC Foundation, over 200 attended our our Wellness Webinar: Supporting Teen Resilience: What Adults Need To Know. Hosted by: Dr. Chantal Regis, Dr. Michael Saxton, and three members of our Youth Advisory Council Jadah, Joelle, and Daniella. Please take a moment to watch the recording and learn how you can better support the mental health of our youth.
Participated in The Globe and Mail's first-ever
Psychology Matters section
We participated in the Globe and Mail’s first-ever Psychology Matters section. Thanks to the leadership of our founding Chair Dr. Eric Jackman, this section showcases various topics such as the vital role of psychology in early childhood education, students with learning challenges, and the advancement of mental health care and access through technology. 

Our trustees Dr. Robin Alter and Dr. Kofi-Len Belfon addressed the importance of building a solid foundation of mental health in children and youth. Read here.
Welcome Saskatchewan Roughrider Foundation
to our Growing Network of Supporters
Welcome Saskatchewan Roughrider Foundation! We are thrilled to announce a new partnership with the Saskatchewan Roughrider Foundation and their mental health toolkit. Thanks to their support, educators in Saskatchewan will have access to our evidence-based Kids Have Stress Too! and Stress Lessons programs.
What's New
Welcome Eva! Thanks to Canada Summer Job grants we are providing Eva an opportunity to make a difference with the mental well-being of children and a chance to work with a charitable organization that uses psychological science to help children build a solid foundation of mental health. We look forward to working with you!
Congratulations Menahal Latif - the recipient of the Dr. Harvey and Grace Brooker Award. Menahal has been awarded with a $500 grant to support attendance and poster presentation at the Canadian Psychological Association’s Annual Conference in June 2022.
