Canyon Sled Dog Challenge

The CSDC is an 18-mile mid-distance sled dog event to test the abilities of teams of 6 or 8 dogs and their musher, running from Ansonia to Tiadaghton in the middle of the canyon and back. Teams will start at set intervals, so the action will be nearly continuous for spectators! Spectators should please leave their own pets at home and use Darling Run access parking for great views of the teams both going out and returning! Hot beverages and some tasty treats will be available at the spectator area in cooperation with Second Chance Animal Sanctuaries.

Potter-Tioga Maple Weekend

The annual Maple Weekend began in 2005, and currently has 17 participating farms across Potter and Tioga Counties. The farms offer tours, demonstrations and the finest in pure maple products, and visitors learn about the interesting story of each farm and the unique processes developed by individual producers.
Each farm has a specialty and a recipe or two that have been passed down through the family over generations.
