Shannon,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEET GIRL! You are 1! Such a monumental birthday! I’m not sure how you will spend your day. But all that comes to my mind are familiar images of 1-year-old birthdays I have been part of…cake smashing, giggles, doting, proud parents, and lots and lots of pictures. I don’t know if any of this will be part of your day. I sure hope some of it will. But I do know that once you are home to your forever family, you can count on the giggles, the doting, the proud parents, and the lots and lots of pictures at each.and.every.birthday after this one. Our hope for you is that this is the only birthday you will spend in an orphanage. May the next 100 birthdays be surrounded by family.
Shannon turned 1 on September 1st. She is diagnosed with Down syndrome, alpha-thalassemia, and brain dysplasia. There is a $1,500 grant available for the family who adopts her. For more information, please complete the
