In an effort to further MMTA's ongoing workforce development efforts, we engaged students from the culinary studies program at Eastern Maine Community College in Bangor to provide spectators and competitors with lunch at our Championship Saturday events. Similarly, students from the United Technologies Center in Bangor were tasked with taking photographs of the events for use in MMTA publications to memorialize the amazing competition and camaraderie from this day.

We would like to thank EMCC and UTC, and especially the terrific students who MMTA is proud to support now and into their very bright futures!

MMTA would like to thank Darling’s “Ice Cream For A Cause” providing free ice cream to spectators and competitors at the TDC. The concept of this free community service is for the Darling’s ice cream truck to show up to Maine events to help raise funds for causes and organizations that are trying to make a difference. And in our case at the TDC, all voluntary donations were earmarked to go to the Travis Mills Foundation helping recalibrated veterans.
