DBE Final Rule
Gabe Rand, DBE Supportive Services Specialist

After multiple years of perpetual regulations, the U.S. DOT announced several revisions to the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program – effective May 9th, 2024. This includes changes to the requirements for applying, procedures for good faith efforts from prime contractors, and many other changes to regulations for qualifying for the program.

Don’t fret if this seems overwhelming, everyone is in the same position trying to learn the new regulations – especially prime contractors as a lot of these changes directly affect how they pick and choose what projects they’ll need DBE’s on. See the link here to get an idea of these new changes, and if there’s any questions or concerns feel free to reach out to grand@emdc.org and we can work through it together.
