Here's to 31!

As I reflect on the journey that has brought me to this moment, I am filled with immense gratitude and a sense of duty. It is both an honor and a privilege to serve as the 31st Mayor of our beloved Marion.

As fate would have it, this week marks a significant milestone in my personal journey as well - my 31st birthday. I can't help but see this convergence of events as a serendipitous alignment, a sign perhaps, that the number 31 holds a special significance for us all.

In light of this realization, I have undertaken a deliberate and thoughtful exercise to chart a course for our administration. I am excited to share with you my vision, encapsulated in a list of 31 ambitious yet achievable goals that I am committed to pursuing during my tenure as Mayor.

These goals represent a holistic approach to governance, touching upon various aspects of community development, cleanliness, economic prosperity, and efficiency. They are not merely items to be checked off a list, but rather guiding principles that will shape our collective journey towards a brighter future for Marion.

I am fully aware that the road ahead will be challenging, but I am also confident in our ability to overcome obstacles and realize our shared aspirations. With your unwavering support and active participation, I am certain that we can turn each of these goals into tangible achievements that will benefit every resident of our city.

Thank you for entrusting me with this tremendous responsibility. I am committed to serving you with integrity, dedication, and passion, as we embark on this transformative journey together.

With warm regards,

Mayor Morrell

$1.5 Million!

I am delighted to announce that the City of Marion has been awarded a $1.5 million Community Crossing Grant from the State of Indiana. This grant enables us to allocate a total of $3 million this year towards the vital initiatives of repaving streets and replacing sidewalks. Markedly, this represents the largest sum ever received by our city through this grant, empowering us to undertake substantial sidewalk repairs. Click HERE for full press release.
