A Note from AJ...
Finally, we have made it!! It is fall.  The weather is cold, and soup is hot.  When fall arrives our culture starts to focus on certain things: pumpkin spice, apple cider, and thankfulness.  Thankfulness is where I want to spend a moment today.  I think we understand thankfulness in relationship to those around us.  We know what it looks like to show gratitude to family and friends, but what does it look like to show gratitude to God?  God has done so much for us, and we need to give Him gratitude.  What should that look like?   How do we show Him gratitude?
Gratitude causes us to want to give back to someone who has been generous to us.  When friends and family are generous, we want to show them generosity in return.  We need to have the same attitude with God.  He has given us so much, and we want to be generous in return to Him.  Our worship, giving, and serving should be motivated by our heart to give back to God.  This month, as you see friends and family, make sure you are taking time to see how much God has given you.
Gratitude evokes emotion.  When people do great things for you, it evokes emotion.  When people sacrifice so that you can have something, it evokes emotion.  It is not uncommon for us cry when we are overwhelmed by thankfulness.  When is the last time your gratitude towards God brought emotion in your life?  This month let the goodness of God overwhelm you during prayer, worship, giving, and serving.  Do not be afraid of the emotion you feel.

THE CROSSING KIDS

We place high value on kids here at The Crossing. We strive to create an experience where kids can connect to God and discover His will. We use age appropriate lessons and media to engage kids so they can connect with God at their level. We love kids and look forward each week for the opportunity to tell them about our amazing God and show them that He loves them too.

THE CROSSING KIDS ministry is for

K-5 and happens every Thursday night

at 6:00 and Sundays 9:00 and 10:45.

FUSE
If you have a 6th, 7th, or 8th grader and you are looking for ways to help them get closer to Jesus then FUSE is for you. This ministry is tailored specifically for middle school students and meets during second service every Sunday in the Studio. They do church together, communion together, and they break out into small groups. Small groups are where they will form relationships, ask questions and understand the sermon better.  Now is a great time to get your 6th, 7th, or 8th grader plugged in!

If you have any questions,  please contact
Andre Harper at andreh@thecrossing.net.
