JUNE 2018
IN THIS ISSUE:
Summer is finally here and before you fire up the grill or head to the beach, the Municipal Water District of Orange County (MWDOC) would like to share our latest eCurrents issue with you.

In case you missed it, the 11th annual OC Water Summit was a magical event, bringing together nearly 350 business and water professionals, elected officials, and community leaders to learn about the evolving landscape of the water industry. Not to mention, now that the school year has ended, we include an overview of the MWDOC Education Programs and what OC students learned this year about the importance and value of water. And, look no further, we also deliver an update on the long, complex road to a successful legacy project for MWDOC and the Wyland Foundation. Speaking of milestones, MWDOC celebrated 30 years of student art and water education at the Discovery Science Center with the 2018 Water Awareness Poster Contest winners and their families. Meanwhile, our Board President and Vice President honored the OC winners of the 2018 Solar Cup competition, a solar powered boat race that has successfully combined education, electrical and mechanical engineering, problem solving, and natural resources for 16 years.
