JULY 2019
IN THIS ISSUE:
Welcome to this issue of MWDOC’s eCurrents newsletter. Big improvements to our established school programs are coming! First, MWDOC has introduced two new school contractors to the program. Then, for the first time ever, the District will be presenting a middle school program to close the water-focused education gap from elementary school to high school. And finally, staff has been working directly with the Orange County Department of Education, Ten Strands, and the State Education and Environment Roundtable to take a look at innovative environmental literacy inclusions that will connect students to their local environments, guiding them towards solving community problems while engaging them in big picture issues. Please keep reading for more information on these exciting topics and more!
