APRIL 2020
A MESSAGE TO OUR READERS:
The world has changed and we are all changing with it. Like so many, the Municipal Water District of Orange County is adjusting to this new virtual way of doing business. Our Committee and Board Meetings are being conducted via Zoom, and our employees are working from home. I want to assure you that while things are in no way normal, we are still working diligently in the best interest of our stakeholders. We remain engaged with Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, our Member Agencies, legislators, and partners. Our emergency response group (Water Emergency Response Organization of Orange County (WEROC)) and our Public Affairs department are working in close concert with the County Department of Public Health and all of the arms of the Emergency Operations Center to ensure that we remain ready to address any water emergencies, factual information is available to the public, and our message of safe, reliable, uninterrupted water service is clear amidst all of the chaos. No one is certain how long this will last, but we will get through this. In the meantime, stay healthy and take care of each other.

Sincerely,
Robert Hunter, General Manager, MWDOC

So what does all this mean to Orange County water supply and water availability? First, we have to understand where we are with imported water storage in Southern California.
