City Council Unanimously Adopts Resolution to Support November 2024 Sales Tax Measure
In a unanimous decision during their August 5 meeting, the City Council adopted a Resolution in support of a Sales Tax Measure that will be on the November 2024 ballot. This measure aims to raise the Sales Tax rate by 1% to generate revenue to enhance essential City services and facilities, focusing on critical areas such as wildfire prevention, infrastructure improvements, and emergency preparedness. Tree Removal on Miller Avenue - On the morning of Tuesday, August 13, 2024, from 8 AM until noon, work crews will remove two dead redwood trees on Miller Avenue in front of the Safeway Shopping Center. Understanding the community’s deep appreciation for redwood trees in Mill Valley, staff has made arrangements to repurpose the lumber from the trees.
