THAT'S SO DOAP

What an honour for me to be working with the DOAP (Downtown Outreach Addictions Partnership) Team in Calgary.  We create a 'warm pass' for people with multiple risk factors, such as street issues, by coordinating access to a range of medical, shelter, housing, and addiction programs. I'm out with the team once a week learning the ropes ! 
SWIM DRINK FISH

A Gala that raised over $250,000 for this incredible charity dedicated to swimmable, drinkable, fishable water. Storytelling from Dr. David Suzuki, while Serena Ryder and I performed Gord Downie songs in homage to his time as a board member and advocate. I had fun learning how to sing "Lake Fever".

Season 2 just announced!  Here in Alberta, where it's produced, REU won an AMPIA award (Alberta Media Production Industries Association) for "Best Documentary Series". Not too late to start watching it Wednesday nights on APTN.

We've barely shifted from winter to spring and planning ahead with autumn announcements for a guest role in Season 3 of Cardinal; guest role of Season 4 in a series which can't be revealed at this time (ssssh); big screen premiere of In Order of Disappearance (still a working title) with Liam Neeson; and 14 tour dates (and more being planned) of The Huron Carole tour.

In 2012 I had a crazy time working with this fun-filled, passionate and creative crusader for all things socially and politically relevant.  A true friend to many and devoted caregiver to her dogs, you'll be missed MK.
