Complete Your Online Re-Enrollment Packets Today!
| |
We’re only days away from the first day of school! To prepare for the 2024/25 academic year, we kindly ask all families to complete an online re-enrollment packet for each of their children.
The re-enrollment packet does not change your child’s enrollment status. However, it is very important for parents to complete it, as we need updated forms for the new school year.
You can access it online via Q Parent Connection or through the Q icon on the MUSD mobile app.
The online re-enrollment packet includes significant documents, including MUSD’s Student & School Benefits Form. This form needs to be completed every year, so please ensure it is completed in your packet.
Watch our video that walks you through how to complete the packet below.
If you have any questions, please get in touch with your child’s school office.

High School Classroom Furniture Refresh
MUSD creates spaces where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. To support those needs, Manteca Unified has been modernizing classrooms throughout the District, outfitting them with innovative furniture. Following last year’s furniture refresh at all elementary sites, the refresh continued over the summer with MUSD’s high schools receiving their new furniture. Modern classrooms are collaborative environments, and the new furniture, designed with teamwork, mobility, and inclusion at the forefront, supports this. Different classroom layouts feature adjustable height tables, tilt-top tables, rolling chairs, ottomans, and more.
High school is a critical period of transition into adulthood when students develop essential collaboration skills needed for their future in the workforce. In almost every profession, employees need to work together, communicate effectively, and solve problems as a team. By practicing these skills in school with the new, innovative furniture, students learn how to share responsibilities, listen to diverse perspectives, and develop solutions together, preparing them for success in their future careers.

This summer saw a variety of exciting projects across the district that enhance and modernize school facilities
|
At Sequoia Elementary, the highly anticipated school renovation project is officially complete! This year, students will enjoy brand-new playgrounds, a play yard, courts for basketball, tetherball, and volleyball, and a running track with fitness stations! Students will also get to experience learning in a new way beneath 3 shaded outdoor learning structures.
|
Exciting changes are underway at New Haven Elementary! This summer, the demolition of old portables and classrooms will soon pave the way for a new 8-classroom building and administration office. This school year, the New Haven community can expect a new front and staff parking lot and upgraded electrical service across the campus. The full modernization of the school is set to be completed by August 2025. |
|
|
At East Union High School, the brand-new student parking lot is complete! This will include a new entryway and drop-off roundabout, which will create much safer and smoother access through the lot. Completion of the new two-story building is expected to be finished in August 2025.
|
This summer, the Manteca High School stadium welcomed new visitors-side bleachers, LED stadium lighting, and a natural turf field.
Additionally, the steel framing for Increment 1 of the school's modernization project is complete. This project will feature a new Career and Technical Education workshop and a 22-classroom building. The full modernization is expected to be finished by August 2025.

Elementary schools in Lathrop, including Mossdale, Joseph Widmer, and Lathrop Elementary, broke ground on new expanded learning portables, which will offer 7 new classrooms for before- and after-school programs.
Other summer projects included renovations to the administration office and restroom at Walter Woodward Elementary, playfield renovations at French Camp, and renovation of the kindergarten area at Nile Garden Elementary. The exteriors of Joshua Cowell Elementary and Calla High School are freshly painted for the new school year. Lastly, roughly 600 HVAC units were replaced across the district.

NEW Report Cards
For all TK-6 grade students
|
This school year, Manteca Unified is transitioning to Standards-Based Report Cards for all TK-6th grade students!
Standards-Based Report Cards are designed to clearly communicate your child's performance in the classroom. This exciting transition will give you a better understanding of what is expected at each grade level, where your child is excelling, and where they might need more support.
Examples of Standards-Based Report Cards are available for grades TK-6 in both English and Spanish.

Goal-Setting Conferences
Set learning goals with your child's teacher this year
|
At MUSD, we have Goal-Setting Conferences, which take the place of traditional parent-teacher conferences. The Goal Setting Conference provides an opportunity to establish relationships between students, teachers, and families based on feedback and support.
Effective goal setting helps students understand how their learning is measured. When students understand and take ownership of their learning goals, with the support of their teacher, it encourages them to be lifelong learners.

Nutritious FREE meals for all students |
For elementary school students, breakfast is offered in the classroom during the first 15 minutes of class, and lunch is served in the cafeteria during their designated lunch period.
High school students can receive breakfast before the first-period bell from 8:00 am to 8:25 am. Students can receive their lunch by visiting the cafeteria and cruiser carts stationed around campus at high schools. Snack and supper are also offered at no cost to students who are enrolled in after-school programs.
In MUSD, we partner with local farmers to feature locally-grown produce in our menus. In addition to fresh local produce, we aim to support students by reducing added sugars at breakfast and increasing cooking from scratch.

If you haven’t already, be sure to check your child’s bell schedule for the 2024-25 school year!
One exciting change this year is the implementation of a full-day kindergarten program at all elementary schools. Additionally, some elementary schools have chosen to bring back Early Release Wednesdays, a decision that followed many weeks of planning and discussions with teachers who advocated for it.
Please note that each school in Manteca Unified establishes their annual bell schedule in response to the needs of their unique students and school communities.
