MUSD's School Linked Services team provides update on supporting students, families

The School Linked Services Initiative (SLS) provides students, children, and families with school-based coordinated supportive services to address needs and wellbeing gaps of families through a community participatory approach. The program is coordinated by the Santa Clara County Behavioral Health Services Department, in collaboration with a host of school districts, mental health and social service delivery providers, and community-based organizations (CBOs) located throughout the county.

Specifically, SLS Coordinators, located at the school district or a school site, develop partnerships within schools, public agencies, and CBOs in Santa Clara County to improve protective factors (e.g., family relationship), decrease risk factors (e.g., behavioral and emotional problems), enhance service accessibility and resource linkage and to support children’s success in school and in life. Click to view Presentation slides
