PAR-19-209 the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), and the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) are supporting the development of new and innovative on-demand, event-driven and long-acting systemic and non-systemic MPTs. These MPTs can deliver HIV and other STIs prevention, HIV and pregnancy prevention (hormonal and non-hormonal methods), or other STI and pregnancy prevention for cis and transgendered individuals of all ages. This FOA will also support MPT drug formulation development and socio and biobehavioral research to promote increased MPT adoption and use. Applications are due Monday, 6 May.

RFA-AI-19-005 National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) 's HIV Prevention Clinical Trials Network Leadership and Operations Center (UM1 Clinical Trial Required) is soliciting applications for HIV Prevention Clinical Trials Network Leadership and Operations Center. This center will house research focusing on priority areas like ARV-based HIV prevention products and delivery methods, MPTs with anti-infective and contraceptive properties, as well as integrated biomedical and socio-behavioral prevention strategies. Applications due Thursday, 1 August.

The World Health Organization's Department of Reproductive Health and Research (RHR) includes the UNDP/UNFPA/UNICEF/WHO/World Bank Special Programme of Research, Development and Research Training in Human Reproduction (HRP). The Department draws on research and global expertise to set norms and standards and develop global guidelines on sexual and reproductive health and rights. WHO is accepting applications for a Scientist (Infertility Research) - (1900466) to provide scientific and technical expertise for matters relating to fertility, subfertility, and infertility. USAID's Center for Accelerating Innovation and Impact (CII) is seeking a Senior Innovation Advisor to design and direct the Innovation Team's efforts to build innovation capacity across the Bureau for Global Health, design and build innovation ecosystems in USAID priority countries, and shape markets to accelerate the progress of promising technologies, service delivery approaches and systems, and how they can be applied to help achieve global health goals. CONRAD, under the Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS), aims to improve reproductive health globally by enabling prevention of HIV and sexually transmitted infections, unintended pregnancies, and maternal/neonatal disease through the development of innovative, user-centered technologies suitable for use by people living in resource-constrained regions of the world. Guttmacher Institute is accepting applications for a Research Assistant to be based in New York who will assist with social science research pertaining to reproductive behavior and access to health care services in both domestic and international contexts. IAS is accepting applications for Youth Ambassadors at IAS 2019 . Those registered to attend the conference and are 25 or under are encouraged to apply by Friday, 3 May to benefit from a 3-day curriculum at the conference. View the link for details.
 
Guttmacher Institute is calling for nominations for
The Darroch Award for Excellence in Sexual and Reproductive Health Research to recognize emerging field leaders using scientific evidence to guide policy and program development and implementation. The nomination deadline is Friday, 17 May.

120 Under 40: The New Generation of Family Planning Leaders , a project of the Bill & Melinda Gates Institute at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, recognizes and highlights the achievements of the next generation of family planning leaders worldwide. Submit your nominations by Saturday, 1 June.

IAS is calling for papers for a special issue of the Journal of the International AIDS Society (JIAS) on " Data-driven HIV prevention: the HIV prevention cascade and beyond " to be published in conjunction with AIDS 2020. Article submissions in the categories of Research, Short Report, Review, Debate, Commentary, and Viewpoint will be accepted. High priority is placed on papers from authors reporting on original research including operational research and implementation science. Check the link for details and submit by Monday, 15 July.

The 10th IAS Conference on HIV Science (IAS 2019) will be held in Mexico City, Mexico on 21-24 July.
 
The 46th Controlled Release Society Annual Meeting & Exposition will be held in Valencia, Spain on 21-24 July where presenters including Nobel Laureates, Academic powerhouses and Industry game changers will celebrate the progress in the areas of bioengineering, drug delivery, material science, pharmaceutics, and consumer and diversified products.
