Learn. Network. Celebrate. Build.
MPHA has lined up a series of learning opportunities throughout the fall and winter that offer a bit of everything for everyone in public health, clinical health, policy making, administration and more.
Prior to our
fall conference on October 6, we will be holding a workshop for those interested in how to make big public health strides thru coalition building, engagement and advocacy. This could be a game-changer for your team. See below FMI.
For the conference itself, we will be partnering with various organizations across the State to bring the highest quality of education, innovation and inspiration to those that work in and around the field of public health. Sandwiched between two incredible keynote sessions focused on increasing the visibility of public health, we will offer eight breakout sessions and almost 20 poster sessions- see our
event website to experience the variety and depth of the sessions to be presented. It is impressive.
Following the conference, MPHA is working with partners to offer a series of webinars covering various public health content. Confirmed are webinars on childhood exposure to marketing in schools, marijuana use, telehealth and public health and we are finalizing sessions on immunization, tobacco, public health data and climate change. Look for more information at and after the conference regarding these sessions.
Public health has long been known as the silent partner and as creating silent victories that impact entire populations. We can no longer afford this title or carry this silent badge of courage. It is time to be loud and be proud of what we do and what we accomplish. Its time to recognize ourselves and our partners for the data-driven, measurable outcomes that we contribute to the health of all Mainers. And its time to learn from each other so we can ensure best practice work is not only occurring but is being discussed, evaluated and celebrated within our circles and outside of them.
We look forward to seeing you at one or more of our upcoming events.
