OFFICIALLY OPEN! Minnie's Food Pantry Houston Edition

Since 2017, Minnie's Food Pantry has been Boots On The Ground in Houston, TX, taking action after the devastation of Hurricane Harvey affected thousands of families, businesses and individuals. We are thrilled to announce that, less than two years later, Minnie's Food Pantry has officially opened up a location to leave a lasting impact and better serve those in need in Houston, TX! Minnie's Food Pantry: HOUSTON Edition serves on the first and third Saturdays of each month from 9AM-11AM. The pantry is loca ted at 7317 EAST HOUSTON ST. HOUSTON, TX 77028 Minnie's Food Pantry Houston Edition celebrated the official grand opening on Saturday, May 18th and has since hosted 144 volunteers and served 62 families, totaling 168 individuals. *If you know of anyone in need in the Houston area, please direct them to Minnie's Food Pantry at the address listed above. All clients should bring a photo ID and a utility with their name and address on it*

A MONTH IN REVIEW

Last month, Minnie's Food Pantry served alongside 974 volunteers to provide healthy meals, fresh produce, meats and dairy products to 4,171 people right here in North Texas!! Through our partnerships, we hosted six classes centered around cooking and nutrition and money management.

*COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT*

Dillas Quesadillas has been partnering with Minnie's Food Pantry for 6 YEARS and as they continue to grow and expand, they always find ways to continue to help our organization and those we serve! Not only does Dillas sponsor our volunteer luncheons for our BIG giveaways throughout the year, but they have also implemented a Minnie's Meals program to encourage their diners to get a meal-give a meal, as they match the donations made at the registers throughout their restaurants! So far in 2019, Dillas as provided 13,333 MEALS through their Minnie Meals program.

With 3 locations here in Collin County, you too can make a difference by treating yourself to the most delicious, and creative quesadillas in town, and donating 30 cents at the register for Minnie's Food Pantry! Urgent Need of Food Summer is here and the number of families coming through Minnie's Food Pantry is increasing! Please consider picking up some extra items for families in need during your next visit to the grocery store to help us keep up with the demand for supplemental food assistance. CEREAL!
