YOUR WALK ON THE WATER

Matthew 14:22-33 tells of Jesus’ disciples in a ship on the Sea of Galilee. A storm came upon them and tossed the ship to and fro. Late into the night, they saw a figure on the water walking towards them. They were afraid, thinking it might be a ghost.
When they cried out in fear, Jesus answered them, saying, “Be of Good cheer. It is I.” Peter answered, (NKJV), “Lord, if it is [really] you, command me to come to you on the water.” Jesus bid him to come. Peter left the ship and commenced to walk upon the water toward Jesus.
After going part way, he looked at the circumstances (the waves). He wondered “how can this be possible?” As doubt arose, he began to sink down and flounder in the water. In fear, he cried out [vs. 30] “Lord, save me.” Jesus was instantly there and caught him up out of the water. Peter then walked on the water with Jesus to the ship.
Peter’s ultimate success in his assignment of walking on the water built great faith even for the other disciples who witnessed it [vs. 33]. It affirmed the divinity of Jesus to them.
There are times when men, or any of us, are given an assignment by God. We begin to perform it, but somewhere along the way there comes adversity or some very troubling circumstances. We are tempted to give up, or at least question whether it was God who gave us the assignment or whether it was just our own idea.
If we give up, we fail because of our doubt. Just like Jesus said to Peter foundering in the water in verse 33 said, “O thou of little faith, wherefore [why] didst thou doubt?”
However, if we lay aside our own misgivings and look to Jesus, who is the author[beginning] and finisher [completion] of the task, we are victorious. Other people can be encouraged by our example.
Do not let circumstances or appearances distract you. Stay the course. Stand strong. He who started the work with you shall also finish the work with you.
Keep trusting Jesus. Never give up or give in. It is your own “walk on the water” with Jesus.

TWO SISTERS

If you have read your bible then you know the story of the two sisters, Mary, and Martha. They were the sisters to Lazarus, the one that Jesus raised from the dead. Jesus spent time at their house.
Just as in many families the two women were very different. Mary often spent time sitting at the feet of Jesus, listening to him as he taught. We do not know who else was in the house, but there must have been more than just Jesus because he usually travelled with his disciples and then there were always the crowds that followed.
With that many people in the house there must have been a lot of work that needed to be done. One thing that the householders did was wash the feet of those that entered. That alone would be quite a task. Then if they were hungry someone had to prepare the food.
As Mary sat at the feet of Jesus Martha was doing the work, and she got irritated. She wanted Mary to help her. After all, it was her home too. Now some of us can relate to Martha because we want things done right and we want them done “now.”
We often miss out on things doing tasks instead of taking time to just enjoy our company. Jesus reminded Martha of this and rebuked her by saying in in Luke 10:41-42, “…. Martha, Martha, thou art careful [anxious] and troubled about many things: 42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”
This story is a reminder that we should never focus only on being busy. We should take the time to sit at Jesus’ feet through reading the word of God as it speaks to us, and to pray and listen to Holy Spirit speak to us.
In the days ahead, it will be absolutely necessary to listen more than work. We listen to what God has to say and it might just save a life. Do not let the cares of this world, [Mark 4:19] steal the word from you, my friends. The work will be there after you have taken time with the Lord. Be a Mary in a Martha world.

PROPHETIC WORD
AS GIVEN TO HELEN SANDERS
Just as the tender sprouts long for the spring rain and are nourished when it comes, so you, too, have been longing for the refreshing that only I can bring. The season has been very dry for you my child, but I have allowed it to draw you closer to me, for in my presence is the spring rain, the summer growth, and the fall harvest. Every season is important for you, which has brought you to where you are today.
For there is a moment in time when I would say come and sit at my feet. As you do that you will feel the fresh spring rain fall upon your dry and weary soul. It is the place where the fallow ground is broken up and you receive the water of life. It is the place where we meet face to face, and you feel my presence. My child, you must surely know that the season of dryness, or winter has passed for you and things will start to break forth in many ways for you. You will see the old gone and the fresh new start of something better than was.
For you have endured when others did not do so. You have pressed through the hard ground when others did not do so. You have been found faithful, and I reward faithfulness. So, let the spring rain fall upon you and enjoy it. You will see that it has been worth the trials that you have gone through to bring you to this place. You will see things grow through the spring and summer, and there is a harvest for you that you have never dreamed of. For, I, the Lord am bringing the spring rain. Believe it, receive it, and conceive it saith the Lord.

PROPHETIC EXHORTATION

There comes the time when we must take a STAND; For enough is ENOUGH…And it’s past time for us as God's people to go forward in FAITH. Yes, it’s time for real Christians to start REFUSING to; Allow anyone or anything to get them down, slow them down…And much less STOP them from doing ALL God created and then called them to do. So join with me as we too glean from the words Apostle Paul wrote to his son in the faith Timothy. “Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses". (I Tim. 6:12) Now put on the whole armour of God and be ready to STAND in this evil hour. (Ephes. 6:11) It's going to be a Super Sunday; So Enjoy your day, Be Blessed and remember…The time has come for you to take your FIRM stand.

A Life of Love! HCC
A life of love, wouldn’t that be nice?
That would be my prayer to all.
Jesus would smile, for that’s what he is,
Jesus loves all. If there wasn’t sin,
The World would be so changed,
To what we see today. We’ll get our wish,
For all to love, on those golden streets,
In Heaven someday. Gentle caring, gently helping,
Peace for all. Wouldn’t that be swell?
Smiles all around and Jesus is there,
In this magnificent heaven.
Just love, so much love there.
So, while we are here, living our life,
Let’s do the best we can. Holding the hand of Jesus,
Loving one another, practicing for Heaven,
Our Promise Land!
