NERC Services

Join us on the frontier of research technology with NERC on-premise cloud services, where innovation meets affordability and possibilities are limitless.

NERC services now include OpenStack Virtual Machines (VMs) and OpenShift Containers. OpenShift allows you to develop, deploy, and manage cloud-native container-based applications with scalability, flexibility, and automation for a rapid and enhanced developer experience.

NERC services are available at substantially lower prices, making them unparalleled options for faculty PIs and their researchers from MGHPCC member institutions: Boston University, Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Northeastern University, and the University of Massachusetts.

MassTech Collaborative Award

We are excited to announce our newly received two-year, $1.34M Award from the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, “Accelerating the Expansion of The New England Research Cloud (NERC)”.

The funds will be used to further advance the capabilities of the NERC, providing new intensive computing capabilities for colleges and universities including those outside of the traditional consortium of research universities utilizing the Massachusetts Green High Performance Center (MGHPCC). It also allows for furthering the access to NERC capabilities by emerging data-intensive firms looking to grow in the Commonwealth.
