Minneapolis, MN — Chairman David Hann announced today that Representative Walter Hudson (District 30A) has been hired as the MN GOP’s new Strategic Outreach and Engagement Director.
“We are excited to be adding to our team here at the MN GOP as we work tirelessly to turn out every Republican vote for our candidates up and down the ticket, and we are especially excited that Rep. Walter Hudson is the newest addition,” said Hann. “He has been a strong conservative voice in the Legislature and for many years prior. We are grateful for his willingness to help build coalitions with non-traditional Republican voters across Minnesota.”
Hudson shared, “With President Trump’s race getting closer each day, Joe Teirab’s race in the Second District remaining one of the most competitive in the country, a handful of MN House seats to pick up a regain the majority, and one very competitive MN Senate race that will decide control of the Senate, we are committed to turning out every Republican vote. I am excited to connect with voters throughout Minnesota and share our values so that we can elect conservative representatives in St. Paul and DC.”
The addition of Rep. Hudson to the party staff follows nearly two dozen other staff additions to the party’s operations, as there have been significant shifts among Minnesota voters.
Following Kamala Harris’ pick of Tim Walz, her lead in Minnesota dropped by 5 points, cutting it in half. There has also been an undeniable shift within the Somali community, with growing support for President Trump. Additionally, as the DFL continues to radicalize and move farther to the Left, they are leaving behind many Black and Hispanic voters who hold more moderate views.
