Meet our School Psychologist

Hello! I am the School Psychologist at Marinette Middle School. I have greatly enjoyed working at MMS this school year and truly appreciate the partnership from so many families I’ve had the pleasure of working with so far this school year.

Before coming to MMS, I taught in correctional settings for roughly five years. I began teaching in a maximum security adult men’s prison and then switched to work in juvenile corrections. I loved the work but was ready for a change, which ultimately brought me to Marinette.

Thank you to every one of you for sharing your students every day with us

and for your partnership in supporting their education here at MMS.

MIDDLE SCHOOL NEWS & HAPPENINGS

Our monthly Library Choice Board is filled with reading, making, coding, technology and music to keep you engaged all month long! Click here to check it out.

Student Cell Phone Use - For the 2022-2023 school year, MMS students will be expected to keep their cell phones turned off and put away in their lockers throughout the school day, including the lunch and recess period. We are hoping that this will assist our students with engaging in appropriate social activities during those periods and give our students a break from their screens.

be kind.JPG

Being Kind - During the 2022-2023 school year, MMS will ramp up our discussions about how we treat each other in our community.  This will include, but not limited to, discussions clearly defining what bullying and harassment looks like, how the school will respond to bullying and harassment, and how we can support students and their families in dealing with bullying and harassment.

chromebook care.JPG

Chromebook Care - Chromebooks are tools that our students need each and every day here at Marinette Middle School.  We are beginning to provide new students with cases for their Chromebooks.  Despite this we will continue to work with our students, and families, about how best to care for their equipment so that it can be available to them each day of the four years they are at Marinette Middle School.

HOMEWORK HELP.JPG

Homework Help! - Did you know that we have an after school homework support program at Marinette Middle School? Yep…throughout the school year, students are able to work with two certified teachers who manage a quiet environment where students can complete daily assignments or get caught up with missing assignments. This is a support that can start the second week of school. If you would like more information, please reach out to Ashley Duda at aduda@marinette.k12.wi.us.

Medications that need to be administered to our students are required to be in the original containers for both prescribed or over the counter medications. A medication form needs to be completed for each medication including cough drops. Medication forms may be found HERE.

Marinette Middle School office hours are 7:30am to 3:30pm.

Please call ahead for an appointment.
