Curriculum Vitae of
Reverend Joseph T. Shenosky
Father Joseph T. Shenosky is a native of northeastern Pennsylvania, and his family is from Hazleton. He is the eldest son of Blanche and the late Joseph Shenosky, and the brother of Thomas Shenosky. In 1992, Father Shenosky graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He worked for two years as an engineer before entering Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary.
Father Shenosky was ordained a priest of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia on May 20, 2000. His first assignment was at Saint Stanislaus Kostka Parish in Lansdale, where he served for three years as a Parochial Vicar. From 2003-2004, Father Shenosky was on the faculty of Cardinal O’Hara High School in Springfield. From 2004-2008, he studied at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, where he earned a licentiate and a doctorate in dogmatic theology. From 2008 until 2011, Father Shenosky was the School Minister of Archbishop Ryan High School in Philadelphia.
From 2011 until 2020, Father Shenosky served on the faculty of Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary, where he had a number of roles including Vice Rector. Since 2020, Father Shenosky has been the Pastor of Sacred Heart Parish in Oxford, Pennsylvania. He is also the Archdiocesan Coordinator for the National Eucharistic Revival.
In his free time, Father Shenosky enjoys cooking, reading, and getting together with family and friends. He is an avid Penn State Football fan. Father Shenosky is excited to begin his new role as the Pastor of Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Parish!
