MMAMTA April Newsletter - Part 2
Dear MMAMTA teachers,
I want to thank all of you who collaborated with Musicathon this year. Due to Covid-19 things had to be done differently than usual, however, we still successfully raised $750.00 in Columbia! This wouldn’t be possible without your support. I would like to say a special thank you to our president, Ayako Tsuruta, for all of her help throughout the process.
Renan Leme
Vice President and President-Elect
Mid Missouri Area Music Teachers Association
Can you believe it is the LAST week of April?

Thanks again to those who participated and donated to the 2021 Musicathon. Special thanks to VP and Columbia Musicathon coordinator Renan Leme, who donated HOURS of his time, compiling and uploading the videos for all of us to see and share. Columbia raised $750, half of which will be shared with the Children's Grove. Jefferson City Musicathon coordinator Jan Houser reports that they also raised $750. Funds raised in Jefferson City will be shared with the Samaritan Center.

5/21 Spring Luncheon Mtg: Let's keep this meeting on Zoom. I would love to see all of you in person, but perhaps we could wait just a little before we gather, so not to make anyone uncomfortable. Link is posted below; full invitation will be attached in the May Newsletter.

*Important* PLEASE renew your MTNA annual membership: https://www.mtna.org/MTNA/Sign_In.aspx . Every year, compiling an accurate membership list for the MMAMTA Handbook is a challenge due to teachers waiting until the Fall to renew. The recommended deadline is July 1, but I highly recommend renewing it in the spring while we have your attention (and before the summer break).
Thank you! Here's to more spring-like weather...

Ayako Tsuruta
MMAMTA President
