Optimizing Your Meetings

“Most people doubt online meetings can work but they somehow overlook that most in-person meetings don’t work either.” - Scott Berkun

If the pandemic taught us anything, it’s that virtual connections are an easy and convenient resource for meetings and connections. Easy and convenient? Yes. Effective? Maybe.

Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for? (Audience) Why should they care? (Benefit) What do I want them to do here? (Call-to-Action)

Create a great offer by adding words like "free" "personalized" "complimentary" or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take an action, so think about inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining"!

Q: When an Originating Depository Financial Institution (ODFI) receives a Notification of Change (NOC), is it permissible to only provide correcting information related to the NOC to an originator?

A: No. This is one of the most common violations we find during our ACH audits. Many ODFIs are simply calling an originator to notify them of receipt of an NOC and only providing the originator with correcting information. However, the NACHA Operating Rules and Guidelines require an ODFI to provide eleven pieces of information to an originator when notifying them of receipt of an NOC. Article Two, Subsection 2.11.1 of the NACHA Operating Rules and Guidelines states for each NOC or corrected NOC it receives, an ODFI must provide the originator with the following minimum information within two banking days of the settlement date of the NOC or corrected NOC: a) company name; b) company identification; c) company entry description; d) effective entry date; e) DFI account number; f) individual name/receiving company name; g) individual identification number/identification number; h) change code; i) original entry trace number; j) original RDFI identification; and k) corrected data. It is recommended the ODFI email this information to an originator as evidence the bank is complying with the NACHA rule.

Q: Should I be concerned with the advancements in AI technology?

A: While the benefits of using AI technology may seem limitless, there are risks also. If you or your bank are considering using AI technology, you first need to make sure you understand and document the risks. Here is a link to an example of some of the risk factors.
