MICHIGAN STATE AUXILIARY BULLETIN

AUGUST 2024

 Greetings Sisters!

Hope everyone is having a great summer!

I have been busy this month. 4th of July weekend at the MEFRC was a blast! We took 3rd place in the golf cart parade and had so much fun. Thank you to everyone who put that weekend on.

The fundraiser at Davison was a huge success and we raised over $2,200 for my charity and another $206 in the “piggy bank!” I will be taking the bank with me on my travels, the club that has the most money in the “piggy bank” by May 1st, 2025, I will throw a pizza party for them. I will empty it after each visit and post the amount. All proceeds from the “piggy bank” will go to my charity, Rebecca’s Reason.

July 19th, Dennis and I had the honor of installing the new youth officers. These kids are amazing! They presented us with checks for our charities, shirts, hats and a bouquet of sunflowers.

Congratulations to McLain Tucker on becoming State Youth President, she was installed by her grandparents, Dave and Norma Wooster. It was an emotional moment for everyone. Her charity is the Epilepsy Foundation. Please consider donating to her charity and help support our youth.

July 27th, we attended receiver/compliance training at Mason Holt. Thank you Jeff and Dennis for putting this on. We are going to start utilizing some of you to help us get the Grand Auxiliary surveys done around the state. If you are interested in helping with this, please contact myself or the State secretary and watch for compliance training dates and please attend this class.

Please get your dates for fundraisers or other events to the State Secretary, so she can get it on our calendar before it fills up! Have a fun and safe summer and hope to see everyone soon!

Hello Sisters,

I hope all of you are enjoying your summer. I know I have been. I enjoyed volunteering for the kitchen for State Youth Camp at the M.E.F.R.C.

As you can see most of the compliance items are Insurance related, and most of those are because they probably haven’t received the new policies at Grand Aerie yet. Our concern now is Grand Aerie and State Per Capita Taxes. The following are the ones still haven’t paid the Grand Aerie.

Sisters, please try to get these taken care of. You all have done a wonderful job with getting and staying in Compliance.

This past weekend we had a Training school for individuals who will be helping both the Aerie and Auxiliary with doing Grand Aerie/Auxiliary Surveys. So don’t be surprised if you have a new face at your meetings. They are there for us, getting these surveys completed for all our state Aeries and Auxiliaries.

Most of your current State Auxiliary officers will be heading out soon for the International Convention in New Orleans. We are looking forward to hearing and learning what is happening around the US and Canada.

Please make sure you read or post the bulletin so your members can know where the State Auxiliary will be and fundraisers going on for your State President Tina Shephard for her charity Rebecca’s Reason.

Again, I will be out of the office from August 3rd through August 9th, 2024. I will try to keep in contact during that time but please be patient and I will try to get back with you as quickly as possible during the International Convention. State Madam President Tina Shephard schedule is filling up fast so if you would like her at one of your events, please contact me by email or mail requesting her at your event or fundraiser. Thank you. Look forward to seeing you all on the Eagle Trail.

Fraternally,

Julie Kassner/Campbell

Hello Sisters!

We are trying out a new format for our bulletin. This is a user friendly and easier way to access the bulletin. As it is on a web landing page, everyone will be able to see the complete bulletin without the need of adding any additional programs or apps. Some of the new features include direct links for emails, charity websites, and allows for content to be clearer and easier to read.

We will also be sending out the bulletin on the 1st of every month. This will create a more consistent delivery, allowing you to know when to expect the bulletin. With the delivery date being moved up, the deadline to submit info has also been changed. The bulletin deadline is now the 28th of the month.

Thank you for continuing to send info & pictures to share with others! If you are at an event, please email over any pictures you can so that we can share what our Mighty Michigan State is up to! Please send any bulletin information, pictures or questions to: auxiliary3734@gmail.com

Thank You! Heather :)
