If you are receiving this newsletter you have either signed up, requested information or have stayed with us.  We thank you once again for choosing Rim Rock's Dogwood Cabins for all of these things.  We want to wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas and tell you how much we appreciate you all. 

Even though our business and home is up for sale Bob and I want you to know we love it here and love running the business. So come back and see us.  We both are feeling better each day and we are looking forward to a wonderful 2015 for us all.

ILLINOIS TOURISM FILMS AT OUR PLACE FOR 2015 CAMPAIGN

 

WATCH FOR THE ILLINOIS TOURISM 2015 VIDEOS!!!!  The interior or Eagle's Retreat and the exterior of Deer Run were filmed and we hope they will be a part of the 2015 State of Illinois tourism campaign.  Won't have our name of course so watch for familiar scenery.  Garden of the Gods, Cache River just a few places they also filmed.  (Big thanks to our Florida deer hunters who who patiently moved here and there while filming was taking place.  YOU ARE THE Best.)

To say things were hopping here in October is an understatement.  This picture does not do it justice.  There were probably 20 support vehicles and at least 60 people running around here.  Wardrobe, makeup, a drone.  Just like a real movie set.  IT WAS AWESOME and amazing to see it all come together.  Directors, producers, actors, camera people.  What fun.  Hope we do not wind up on the cutting room floor (ha)   Very appreciative that our place was a part of this 2015 project.

We have to say that Bob and I have found running a tourism related business in the State of Illinois, specifically in Hardin County, in the Southernmost Tourism Bureau Region has been extremely rewarding and gratifying.  The effort each devote to making tourism related businesses successful is outstanding.

GOING THROUGH WITH THE PLAN.
 
Many of you know Bob and I made the hard decision to sell our place.  We have had some health scares recently which made us think we should look to the future.  REALLY retiring has its appeal, but we do love this place and we do love this business.  Hopefully, we can pass it on to someone who will enjoy it as much as we do.
