MECE Preschool and Kindergarten

July News

Thank you to Lisa Bariso and the amazing camp staff and youth helpers! Everyone is having a blast at camp and learning a lot!

Thank you to everyone who has sent in needed health forms and birth certificate for the new school year!

We have had an amazing first two weeks of camp! The children have truly enjoyed playing on the splash pad, running the obstacle course in the Gathering Place, and learning about the Olympics. Each week we teach the children a vocabulary word that we try to practice throughout the week, our words were participation and sportsmanship. In Bibletime the children listened to stories about Joseph and his coat of many colors and that God uses many colors to help teach us important lessons int he Bible. We also learned the song "Jesus loves the Little Children". During week two, they talked about Moses and his life's journey and sang the song "Pharoah let my people go!". Art time has been so much fun as the children have painted their camp shirts with the Olympic rings, did an Art design with circles, made an American flag and then got create their own flag. During science time each child became an engineer and designed their own Eiffel Tower out of pool noodle pieces and toothpicks, as well as had fun with bubbles. They played with horses jumping over fences, like Equestrian riders do and got to go on a pony ride!!! The children learned all about the metals, gold, silver and bronze from our friends from HighTech/HighTouch. We finish each week off with fun with food, the children got to taste a noddle bar and nacho bar both filled with delicious healthy toppings.

Here is what MECE parents and students say about why MECE is so special!

Welcome to the Birthday Book Club!

No new books in June, but we hope you are reading to your child everyday.

Fall Enrollments

We are full in all classes

MECE uses MyProcare for payment history and tracking your child's health forms. Set up auto pay to avoid credit card fees. Just email us and indicate ACH or credit card (fees apply).

MECE uses the Procare Parent Engagement mobile app for carline. New families will receive an invite 5 days prior to the start of school. If you already have an account you may need to refresh, by signing out and then back in.

Summer Camp

We have an opening in our oldest camp group, the Burrowing Owls, so let us know if you want to add another week. The tuition is $200 per week.

Now is a great time to get involved and we have so many opportunities for you!

  1. If you are new to MECE or just want to try something new the Parent Association needs your help! The Parent Association is a big part of what makes MECE a special school. Please email for more information.
  2. Carline helpers are needed from 8:45-9:10 am each morning. We ask for a volunteer to commit to just one day per week. Parents that have helped with this in past love the way they get to meet the teachers and other families in the carline. Please let me know if you are available and what days?
  3. We need more substitutes for the summer and next fall. Background in Early Childhood is a bonus. Heart for young children required. Please let Cathy know if you are interested.

Parents Morning Out (PMO) is open 5 days per week from 9-noon! Get more information and sign up on the church's website.

Please send in old towels, stack-able yogurt cups, and produce trays for art supplies.

The purpose of the MECE Parent Association is to build a strong community among our pre-School and kindergarten parents; support the teachers and staff; and to raise funds to support the school. All parents of MECE students are members of the Parent Association. The MECE Parent Association plans numerous events and opportunities for parents to get involved and participate in the MECE Parent Association, thereby directly supporting the school and our children.

Hello MECE Families!

I hope everyone is enjoying the summer! My name is Kelly Koscso and I am excited to lead the MECE Parent Association as president for the second year!! We are looking for a vice-president for this current year that would like to take over as president in 2024-2025. Please reach out to if interested!! All are welcome to this position, so please do not hesitate even if you are new to MECE or returning. It is a great way to get meet faculty and families while enjoying moments
