Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!


Thank you to all of the families that contributed to make this such a special week! It started with our yard signs welcoming us on Monday. We also received a fabulous breakfast buffet, as well as abundance of coffee pods that we will enjoy for months to come. Tuesday we all enjoyed smoothies from Tropical Cafe, a bundt cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes and a delicious lunch from Yard House! Wednesday we feasted on a wonderful buffet from Mississippi Sweets and Lazy Dog for lunch, as well as we all got to take home a beautiful bud vase! Thursday we spun the wheel to receive a generous gift card from one of our favorite places and a enjoyed a delicious healthy lunch from Fresh Kitchen! Friday was unbelievable!! We received a an envelope with a very generous surprise inside, a monogrammed apple with scratch-off lotto tickets and a gift card to Oceans 234, a beautiful orchid, special baked cookies from Nicole Stewart, breakfast from Dunkin Donuts and lunch from Renzo's!!! Although the most cherished gift was the books we received filled with loving messages from your child. We are truly grateful for Amy Kurschner, Kelly Koscso, Kristen McElwee, Hanne Hilleren, Victoria Hanna, Chelsey Turbyfill, Jamie Medlicott, Stephanie Rasel, Carolina Williams, Nicole Stewart, Idamisse Galka, and all the parents who donated and did so much to make

this week so special for us!

We feel so loved and appreciated!!

Fun Run


Thank you so much to Marina Kirchheimer for organizing the Fun Run and thank you to all the parents that helped out!! Everyone had a wonderful time.

MECE Night Out

Thank you to all our MECE families that came out to Shake Shack for our MECE Family Night out. Thank you to Stephanie Rasel for organizing all of our MECE Family Night Outs this year. They truly are a wonderful way for the children to socialize outside of school and a great way for our Parent Association to raise funds.

Earth Day Stories
Thank you to Boca Raton Public Library on Spanish River for coming and reading informative stories about Earth Day! The children truly enjoyed it.

Science is fun

Thank you to FUMC

We want to express our gratitude to the Pastors and volunteers of the First United Methodist church for our weekly Bibletimes. Recently, Pastor Craig invited us to do Bibletime in the Sanctuary and it was extra special. Thank you Cindy Walls, Director of Family Ministries; Mary Bailes, Angela Ward; Janice Nelson; Debbie Woolsey: and our own Miss Lisa!

Dental Health


Thank you so much to Dr. Kelly Koscso (Parent Association President) for coming in and doing a wonderful presentation on dental health. She discussed eating health foods for our teeth and the proper way to brush and floss our teeth. Each child even got a little tooth brush travel case!

Butterfly Release

It truly was a special day, when we went out to car line and saw a butterfly had hatched from its chrysalis!! We got to have a very special "butterfly release"!!

Recycling Program


Thank you so much to the South Florida Solid Waste Program who come and give a very educational program on recycling. The children learned what can be put in the recycling bins, what happens to the items and what is made from the recycled items. Recycle, renew, reuse!!!

Thank you Dhaveloose Family


Thank you so much to the Dhaveloose Family for donating sensory boxes filled with calming toys for each classroom and office, a beanbag chair for the office, as well as a bucket full of books. Children will be able to go the calming rug in their classroom and calm themselves down. We greatly appreciate their thoughtfulness and generosity.

Kindergarten Field Trip


Our Kindergarten went on their last field trip of the year to Butterfly World! They had a wonderful time seeing all the different kinds of butterflies, bugs and animals. We are going to miss having a Kindergarten and hearing all about their fun adventures.

Mother's Day Celebrations

are all next week! You have received an invitation for your child's class date,

time and location.


Prepaid Lunch Bunch and Early Drop

begins on Monday, May 13. If you are signed up for automatic payments you do not have to pay in advance. Everyone else must reserve and pay in advance for Lunch Bunch and Early Drop through the end of the school year. You can sign up for Automatic Payments by emailing and indicating if you prefer ACH or credit card (fees apply).


Fours Graduation

Graduation for our PreK students will be Friday, May 24 at 9:30 AM in the Sanctuary. There will be a brief reception on the Gathering Place lawn after graduation.


Fall Enrollments

You will receive the first tuition invoice on June 14. Please email us if you want to set up automatic payments, indicate if you prefer ACH or credit card (fees apply). Payments are processed on the due date. Meet the Teacher Day is Monday, August 26. School starts the next day. You can manage your contact information on Myprocare.com. Please email us your physical forms (be sure to complete the parent side), immunization forms, and birth certificate if needed. This information is also available on Myprocare.com.


Summer Camp

June 17 (full), June 24, July 8, and July 15

from 9 am -2 pm. 

The registration fee is $50, tuition is $200 per week.

Camp is filling up quickly! Registration is done in your MyProcare account, to secure your spot. Be sure to submit any needed forms before June 14.


Parents Morning Out (PMO) is open 5 days per week from 9-noon! Get more information and sign up on the

Vacation Bible School (VBS)

Vacation Bible School will be offered

Monday June 10 - June 14 from 9 AM- 12PM. $45/child $50 after May 1.

Deadline is May 24.

The purpose of the MECE Parent Association is to build a strong community among our pre-School and kindergarten parents; support the teachers and staff; and to raise funds to support the school. All parents of MECE students are members of the Parent Association. The MECE Parent Association plans numerous events and opportunities for parents to get involved and participate in the MECE Parent Association, thereby directly supporting the school and our children.

It’s hard to believe this year is coming to an end so soon! It has been such a wonderful year with so much support from our families. Thank you to our families for volunteering, donating,

and participating all year to make it a success! We look forward to planning some great events next year! Please join us!!

Fun Run

Thank you to Marina Kirchheimer for planning and executing our MECE Fun Run, and to our family and church volunteers for helping make the day a success! Thank you to all our MECE families that came out to participate!! The children had so much fun running the loop, playing games, dancing and enjoying a healthy snack!


Family Night Out

Teacher Appreciation Week

A huge thank you goes out to all of our families that contributed donations and time to make our Teacher Appreciation Week extra special. We were able to provide our teachers with 4 lunches, 2 breakfasts, bundt cakes, lots of K Cups, smoothies, decorated cookies, orchids, gift cards, lotto tickets, cash and I Love My Teacher booklets. The teachers expressed overwhelming thanks and felt so much love all week!!


Final PA Meeting

Please join us this Wednesday, May 1, in the Center Room after drop off for our final PA meeting. We will discuss plans for our final weeks and plans for next year!
