AND THE AWARDS GO TO...
The MEMPHIS Committee at Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. in Memphis, TN hosted the 2018 MEAF Volunteer Leadership Workshop June 21-23 where volunteers were recognized with awards for their outstanding achievements!

LOVE takes home M.O.V.E. AWARD
The M.O.V.E. Award recognizes Mitsubishi Electric Outstanding Volunteer Efforts and this year it went to the LOVE Committee from Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US LLC in Suwanee, GA for their HVAC Volunteer Day. This was an event held on a Saturday with food, fun, and trolleys to four local nonprofits to support animals, fire safety, homeless individuals, and youth with learning disabilities.

MEMPHIS = FUNDRAISING CHAMPION
The 2018 FUNdraising Champion trophy went to the MEMPHIS Committee from Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. in Memphis, TN for their fundraising efforts to support the St. Jude's Marathon. They raised more than $70,000 for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital placing 4th overall in the corporate challenge!

This trophy rotates to the top FUNdraising committee each year.

MEAF also presented the M>PWR Award to the MEMPHIS Committee to recognize their efforts to empower youth with disabilities - from participating in disability mentoring days with students from the Madonna Learning Center to starting a tech club at Riverview K-8 - MEMPHIS volunteers are making a difference and spreading the message of inclusion in their community!
In addition to recognizing amazing volunteer projects and activities, MEAF also recognized dedicated employee volunteers who donate their time and talents to their communities with the Presidential Volunteer Service Award. Six of the 11 award winners were present at Workshop to receive their awards from MEAF Board President Kent Hora and the MEAF staff, Kevin Webb and Tara Havlicek.
