Maryland Task Force Aids Hurricane Ian Recovery

In the wake of Hurricane Ian’s destruction, Maryland first responders have been deployed to Fort Myers, Florida, to join recovery efforts. The Maryland Task Force One Urban Search and Rescue team, based in Montgomery County, is made up of Montgomery, Frederick, Howard, Prince George’s, and Washington, D.C.’s fire and rescue departments, along with civilians. The team is led by Chase Fabrizio, a battalion chief with Montgomery County Fire and Rescue and is one of 28 such teams in the country.
